IS19.3 - 2.4kW All-GaN 48V-12V Bidirectional Converter with Bi-GaN Load Switch for Mild Hybrid Electrical Vehicle (MHEV)

This talk will focus on a 2.4 kW all GaN Bi-directional Buck/Boost solution for 48V to 12V power conversion in Mild Hybrid Electrical Vehicle (MHEV). The goal is to show the benefits of GaN devices and Bi-GaN devices in Bidirectional converter over traditional Si MOSFETs in terms of efficiency, thermal and power density. Besides, design optimization for All-GaN solution will also be discussed.
