This industry session will provide a description of Wolfspeeds recirculating load testbed that is used for in-house validation of inverter stack-ups. This testbed enables the inverter to exercise full power without the need for high power supplies or loads since only the losses of the system need to be supplied (~3kW). The ability to exercise a module or inverter at full rated processing power without the need to invest in expensive infrastructure is valuable beyond dollars and cents Wolfspeed hopes to share this knowledge with the power electronics community so others can learn about this invaluable evaluation tool.
