Description: This talk will provide a discussion about the high frequency effects on motor drives. New WBG (Wide Band Gap) power semiconductors allow to achieve higher switching frequencies inverters and opens new possibilities for motor drives. A study about the efficiency of system using different kind of inverter technologies Si (Silicon), SiC (Silicon Carbide) and GaN (Gallium Nitride) is presented in order to illustrate the advantages and challenges of these new technologies
