Dr. Arceo-Mendoza is originally from the Philippines where she attended the University of Santo Tomas for both her undergraduate and medical degree. Her residency in Internal Medicine was at Geisinger Hospital in Pennsylvania. She completed her endocrine fellowship training at Loyola University Medical Center. She then joined Loyola after completing her fellowship and is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine in their institution. She is also the Associate Program Director of the Endocrine Fellowship Program and the Chair of the Fellowship Program Evaluation Committee. She is also the CME activity director for their department.
Her clinical interests are in osteoporosis and thyroid cancer management. She has authored several publications and book chapters in endocrinology and metabolic bone disease.
She has been an active member of AACE since 2012 when she was still an IM resident. She has been involved in several national committee memberships for AACE. She was a national committee member of AACE Fellows-in-training, Membership, and Young Physicians Committee for two years from 2016 to 2018. She also contributed as a question writer for AACE’s online bone course in 2020.
She is a board member of Illinois Association of Clinical Endocrinology, IL’s local clinical endocrinology group.
Dr. Arceo-Mendoza lives in Wheaton, IL with her husband and their 9 and 2-year-old daughters. She loves to travel and enjoys spending quality time with family.
