Dr. Lynn Kohlmeier is an endocrinologist in Spokane, Washington, and is involved in osteoporosis, fracture assessment and hypoparathyroid research. She is medical director of the monthly CME West Coast Bone Health ECHO: Spokane Strides For Strong Bones and co-founder and director of the non-profit Strides for Strong Bones. Dr Kohlmeier received her undergraduate degree from Yale University, and medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine. She was a resident in internal medicine at the New England Deaconess Hospital at Harvard Medical School, and returned to Stanford for her endocrinology fellowship. As a Clinical Investigator in the Endocrinology Hypertension Division, Skeletal Health and Osteoporosis at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School, she received her post-doctorate training and a Young Investigator Award for her research involving the calcium-sensing receptor. Dr. Kohlmeier is a reviewer for the Journal of Clinical Densitometry, Metabolism, Osteoporosis International, and the Journal of the Endocrine Society. She is a board member for the Advances in Mineral Metabolism - American Society for Bone and Mineral Research Meeting where she founded and coordinates their annual Nastar ski race.
