Dan Bessesen, MD is Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes at the University of Colorado, School of Medicine (UCSOM). He is also the Director of the Anschutz Health and Wellness Center on the Campus of the UCSOM. He is the Program Director for the Colorado Obesity Medicine Fellowship Program. He conducts research on the regulation of body weight and the clinical problem of obesity. He is currently the Immediate Past President of the Obesity Society.
