Carla Stec is the Director of Clinical Practice Guidelines at AACE. She has more than 30 years of experience in development of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines and systematic reviews, non-profit management, publishing, health education, and research and has been the author or editor of numerous publications. Carla is passionate about process improvement and has transformed programs and teams throughout her career. She is committed to continually advancing the AACE guidance program and strongly supports DE&I efforts toward the mission of improving global health. When not combing through scientific literature, she loves hiking with her golden retriever, searching for new spicy taco combos, remodeling, and preserving the Oxford comma.
