Dr. Marina M. Charitou is an Associate Professor in the Division of Endocrinology at Stony Brook Medicine. Since 2014, she has served several roles in medical education including fellowship program director, council, and treasurer of the Association of Program Directors in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. She currently serves as the Faculty Development Chair for the Department of Medicine. Her area of clinical expertise is in diabetes management, particularly insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring systems. She serves on the Medical Advisory Board of the NY Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and is a strong advocate for diabetes technology for all patients.
