Peter A. Singer, MD, FACE is Professor and Chief, Clinical Endocrinology, and Director, the USC Thyroid Center, at the University of Southern California School of Medicine. He is a graduate of UCSF Medical School, and completed a rotating internship at Los Angeles County General Hospital. After two years in military service he completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in endocrinology at USC.
Dr. Singer is Past-President of the American Thyroid Association, and a former Board Member of AACE. He is a recipient of the 2004 AACE Outstanding Clinician Award, the 2013 American Thyroid Association Distinguished Service Award, and the 2017 AACE Excellence in Ethics and Humanities Award, and in 2020 he received the Endocrine Society Clinical Practitioner Laureate Award. Apart from endocrinology, in 2018 Dr. Singer received the Vietnam Veterans of America Excellence in Science Award.
