Clinical Care Options
Jim Mortimer is Sr. Director of Oncology Programs and Partnership Development at Clinical Care Options, which he joined in 2005. In this position he has worked with numerous societies and advocacy groups to advance clinical outcomes for people with cancer through designing innovative CME-certified programs. Jim has been presenter or co-author on ACEHP posters as well as posters and publications at oncology society meetings and journals.
Prior to CCO, Jim worked for Pfizer as Associate Director of Cooperative Group Relations and Operations. In this role Jim interacted extensively with the US cooperative groups and the NCI to advance major clinical trials in all tumor types. Prior to Pfizer, Jim was Communications Director for the Breast Cancer International Research Group (now known as TRIO), Jim was involved in the communication of important adjuvant breast cancer studies and the formation of that important cooperative group. Jim joined TRIO after nine years at the company currently called Sanofi where he was involved in pivotal oncology clinical research from both the R&D and the medical communication side. Jim entered the clinical research arena in cardiology and rheumatology with Centocor after starting his career in clinical histology labs and translational research focused on lung cancer at SUNY Upstate.
