Kimberly D. Northrip, MD, MPH, FAAP is an Associate Professor in Pediatrics at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. She holds a joint appointment in the College of Public Health Department of Health Behavior. She completed medical school and pediatric residency at the Virginia Commonwealth University and a fellowship in General Academic Pediatrics from Children’s National Medical Center. She also received her Masters of Public Health from George Washington University.
Dr. Northrip is extensively involved in medical education. She currently directs UK Healthcare CECentral which provides continuing medical and pharmacy education to healthcare professionals. She is the President Elect for the Society of Academic CME. She has developed currucula for medical students and residents, has published on medical training related to advocacy, teaches the Legislative Advocacy Elective for 4th year medical students,and previously served as the Pediatric Continuity Clinic Directo and the Associate Program Director for the Pediatric and Triple Board Residency Programs. Her special interests include improving population and patient health through CPD and the potential role of CPD in reducing health disparities.
