Shannon has Master of Library and Information Science with an emphasis in Medical Librarianship from Valdosta State University. She is the Coordinator of Health Sciences Library for Northeast Georgia Health System in Gainesville, GA. Shannon has worked in libraries for over twenty years, with a diverse background in academic, medical, and public libraries. Her role as medical librarian is to bridge the gap between health professionals and medical information. Her interest includes community outreach, consumer health education, CME and DEI.
