Joseph S. Green, PhD
Joseph Green, PhD last served as Senior VP for Professional Development and Chief Learning Officer at the American College of Cardiology from 2007-2011. He was also Associate Dean of CME at Duke University School of Medicine from 1997-2004. Prior to that he was a VP for Educational Affairs at Sharp Healthcare in San Diego from 1989-1997. He was a member of the BOD of the Alliance from 1991-2000 and was also elected President of the Board for 2 years. He received the Distinguished Service Award in 2008 for 'significant, life-long contributions to the profession'. He was the lead editor and author of 2 books and helped author numerous articles in the literature on adult learning, backwards planning, assessment, evaluation and instructional design. He served as an initial member of the ACCME from 1981-1988. He was also the Founder and President of Professional Resource Network, Inc. He still provides consulting to CME/CPD clients in the US and in several countries in Europe, Asia and South America.
