Sandra Oh Clarke, R.Ph. is Managing Director of Educational Programs at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). Ms Oh Clarke has oversight and development responsibility for ASHP's national meetings, board certification review course and recertification curriculum based programs for pharmacists and other healthcare professionals, and commercially supported educational activities. She developed ASHP’s oncology, psychiatric, ambulatory, and pharmacotherapy review courses and has over 20 years of educational program development for pharmacists. In the past seven years, she has grown ASHP’s suite of board certification review and recertification resources from one specialty to nine different specialties. Ms Oh Clarke joined the ASHP Staff in 1995 and has held multiple positions throughout the organization. Prior to her current role, she was the Director of the ASHP Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists where she developed resource centers in anticoagulation, investigational drug services, emergency medicine, and preceptor skills; organized the 2008 Task Force on Science, established the advisory groups in clinical leadership, emerging sciences, and preceptor skills development. She was the staff lead in the development of the guideline on emergency medicine clinical pharmacist services and was instrumental in guiding the Section Executive Committee to develop the new business item on board certification for pharmacists presented and passed at the ASHP 2011 House of Delegates in Denver, CO. She also served as the liaison with the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS). Ms Oh Clarke also held positions in the Educational Services Division and helped plan ASHP’s national meetings. She was also a team member that led to ASHP’s initial CME accreditation through the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education while working with ASHP Advantage.
