Miriam G. Blitzer, PhD, FACMG, is CEO of the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics and professor of human genetics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She received her Ph.D. from University of Pittsburgh and clinical fellowship training at Tulane University School of Medicine. Throughout her career, she has been involved in medical genetics education and training for medical students, residents, graduate students, and undergraduates. She is an author of 70 publications and over 100 abstracts.
Dr. Blitzer has held leadership positions in many national human and medical genetics organization over the last 20 years. Currently she serves on the Board of Directors of the American Board of Medical Specialties.
