As Vice President and Executive Director for Projects In Knowledge (PIK) powered by Kaplan, Alana Brody works with expert interprofessional clinicians to develop accredited medical education. PIK is an ACCME jointly accredited provider and has a long-standing history of developing education that improves clinical practice across therapeutic areas. PIK was acquired by Kaplan North America (KNA) in November 2021 and is now an integral part of this global vertically integrated education company that operates in over 27 countries. KNA offers education leadership to some of the largest employers in the world – including a recent initiative to provide educational counseling services to the over 750,000 Amazon hourly employees. In addition, KNA is at the leading edge of important initiatives such as improving diversity, equity and inclusion for our learners.
Ms. Brody began her healthcare career as a member of the executive team for a community hospital in Western Massachusetts. Since then, she has gained experience with various non-profit organizations such as the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), and for-profit organizations including Projects In Knowledge powered by Kaplan. She has provided leadership in advancing educational initiatives, ranging from needs assessment development and learner research to program design and implementation to outcomes measurement and reporting.
