A thoughtful and well-aligned outcomes plan is an essential component to CE activities. The resulting outcomes report should succinctly “show and tell the story” of what the activity achieved. More importantly, great outcomes can also lead to your next proposed CE activity being funded (internally or externally).
In this hands-on, immersive experience, the learners will “rehab” an outcomes plan. “Designers” will work together to deconstruct an outcomes plan within a CE activity proposal that is a hot mess. They will receive the “tools” needed to demo this less than desirable outcomes plan and transform it into a showpiece.
But buyer beware! Do you know what information to include? What levels of outcomes are achievable? Is the type of statistical analysis you plan to use important to describe? How do you tie everything back to the educational needs and practice gaps? Should you include a few photos, infographics, or embed a video from your last CE activity or is that too much “sparkle?” Attendees of this workshop will return to their offices better prepared to advocate for a team-based approach to outcomes assessments – from proposal creation to data analytics and reporting.
