How can you determine the impact of your online education when you are not affiliated with a healthcare facility or have limited access to outcome data? As an online education company, this was our challenge. The focus of this project was measuring improvement of CE program through analysis of all of the activities and using the data to develop and implement changes to improve the activities and program. This presentation will use an experiential approach to demonstrate the process we used to show the improved impact of our education.
Educational Strategy:
After establishing a baseline measurement of educational impact, we sought evidence-based solutions and strategies to improve impact. We did this through a review of the literature, use of a department book club, and initiating a robust reporting of learnings from conferences. Improvements were made to content design and engagement strategies including the use of learner assessments and targeted education.

Patient-Level Outcome(s) Measured:
As an education company, we do not have access to patient outcomes so we have used other ways to demonstrate improvement including measuring impact on learners over time, which should translate to improvements to patient safety.
