Real World Outcomes (RWO) have become an industry buzz term, but how effective are they in communicating true educational impact? Does Real World Evidence (RWE) increase the value of an IME program in the eyes of our internal stakeholders? In this session we will explore the landscape of Real World Data (RWD) with emphasis on methodologies, reporting, and partnering. Audience members will engage in an active group discussion involving pertinent themes that are emerging in today’s data-driven world.

Identify what constitutes real world data (beyond chart audits)—what it is/is not/compliance considerations
Identify partners/methodologies for collecting and analyzing real world data (with examples)
Discuss the benefit and limitations of RWO
Understand the need for effective communication when reporting real world data to internal stakeholders, from the perspective of strategic planning
Communicate how RWE may augment metrics that demonstrate impact of an educational curriculum (pre/post data) and/or inform a gap analysis
