Litigation Manager
American Integrity Ins. Co.
I am Tyrone C. James II AIC, AINS, AIS and my career in the insurance industry has spanned 28 years encompassing positions ranging from claims adjuster to my current capacity as a Litigation Manager for a property and casualty insurer.
Born and raised in New Orleans, LA, I graduated from Xavier University of LA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a minor in Analytical Research. Last year, I enrolled in the Juris Master program at Florida State University and will graduate December 2023.
Over the past 28 years I have worked for private and governmental insurers, as well as being an independent adjuster assigned to auto, property, environmental and many weather related events across the United States. As a Litigation Manager, I lead a unit comprised of litigation specialists and liability adjusters. In this role, my responsibilities primarily include partnering with retained counsel in charting a strategy by establishing defenses to be used during the course of litigation and/or at trial. Development of that strategy is based, in part, on interpretation of the policy contract, compliance with applicable statutes, and evaluation of exposure all of which are used in support and utilization of proper risk management.
My volunteer efforts include being a member of the CLM – Tampa Chapter and Florida State University Juris Master Student Advisory Board.
Calling New Orleans home makes me an enthusiast for jazz music, Creole cuisine, festivals of all kinds, and, of course, the New Orleans Saints!!
