Dr. Jain has more than 27 years of experience designing, analyzing and investigating structures for extreme loads. During this time, he has led investigations to determine the extent of wind-induced damage/collapse of more than 2500 structures worldwide. His post-disaster assessment experience also includes investigations of the World Trade Center twin towers’ collapse after 9/11. Dr. Jain currently serves as the Chair of ASCE’s Structural Wind Engineering Committee, a voting member of the SEAOC Wind Engineering Committee and is an Associate Member of the ASCE 7 Wind Loads Subcommittee. Dr. Jain co-authored the recently published ASCE/SEI Prestandard for Performance-Based Wind Design and also co-authored an example in the recently published SEAOC Wind Design Manual. Dr. Jain is a Vice President at Walker Consultants and is based in their Los Angeles office.
