Kassem Makki is a first Year Emergency Medicine Resident at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences and graduated from the Irvin D. Reid Honors College, Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan. He completed medical school training at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Before starting his first year of emergency medicine, Kassem completed a Transitional Year residency at St. Mary Mercy Livonia Hospital in Livonia, Michigan. Throughout his undergraduate and medical school career, Kassem completed research in photoacoustic, volunteered at the VA medical center, and held many jobs and internships in medical informatics and technology companies. Kassem hopes to integrate ultrasound into his practice and pursue fellowships in both Ultrasound and Pediatrics.
