Greg Bashford, PhD, PE, FAIUM is Professor of Biomedical Engineering and the Chair of the Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, NE. He received his Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Duke University in Durham, NC. After graduation, he worked in industry R&D positions including as an Image Analysis Engineer at Acuson Corporation (Mountain View, CA); Systems Engineer at GE Medical Systems (Milwaukee, WI); and Senior Scientist at LI-COR Biosciences (Lincoln, NE). In 2001, Dr. Bashford joined the faculty of the Biological Systems Engineering Department at the University of Nebraska. His research interests include methods and applications of blood flow measurement, especially transcranial Doppler for neurological protection, and musculoskeletal health assessment using ultrasound.
