Dr. Justen Despain, MS, DO graduted with his Bachelors and Master's degree in Microbiology and Molecular Biology completeing reserach on disinfection mechanisms for spore forming organisms. Subsequently he enrolled and graduated from the Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in Washington state with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and comissioned as a Captain in the United States Air Force having been accepted into the Health Professions Scholarship Program. He is now a resident physician at Keesler Air Force Base Medical Center training in Internal Medicine where he helps develop cirriculum for and teach junior residents point-of-care ultrasound. He has been accepted to fellowship training in Infectious Diseases at Brook Army Medical Center in Texas and intends to apply for positions to train in critical care medicine after completing training. His primary interests are in infectious diseases, critial care, vascular access and point-of-care ultrasound. Outside of his work he is a published speleophotographer, splunker, banjo picker, and spending time with his wife and four children.
