Dr. Stephanie Stokes, M.D., is a third-year Obstetrics and Gynecology resident at Augusta University. She graduated medical school from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, started residency at Augusta University in 2020, and plans to pursue a maternal-fetal medicine fellowship upon residency graduation in 2024. She is a member of the Augusta University Perinatal Council Quality, Pregnancy Task Force, the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology, The Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine, and Mock Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Committee where she held the first mock RCA in the entire department of the General Medical Education office. She is currently working on a descriptive cross-sectional study about "Dysphoric Milk Ejection Reflux at Augusta University", a joint quality improvement with the NICU at Augusta University to improve rates of Delayed Cord Clamping, and with the Augusta University physiology department on "Role of placental leptin production to promote vascular dysfunction and hypertension in pregnancy."
