Melina Tourni, MEng, is a 4th year Ph.D. candidate in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University, New York, NY, and part of the Ultrasound Imaging Elasticity Laboratory (UEIL). Her research interests include the development of noninvasive ultrasound imaging techniques for the electric and mechanical activation mapping of the heart and further developing Electromechanical Wave Imaging for arrhythmia characterization and clinical assistance in cardiac conduction issues detection. Born in Athens, Greece, Melina holds an integrated Master's Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece, with a major in Computer Science.
