Dr. Francesco Faita is a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Clinical Physiology (Italian National Research Council). He is an electronic engineer with a PhD in “Automation, Robotics and Bio-engineering” at Leonardo Da Vinci School of the Pisa University (Italy). Since 2001, he is conducting research in the field of ultrasound and photoacoustic imaging, mainly focusing his studies on the cardiovascular system. These studies have provided Dr. Faita with excellent knowledge of the analysis and management of cardiovascular, thoracic and abdominal ultrasound imaging in the clinical field. He is the leader of the Preclinical ultra-high-frequency ultrasound lab and the Coordinator of IA activities at the Institute of Clinical Physiology. Dr. Faita is the author of more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific papers (source: Scopus) and 5 industrial patents.
