Margaret Lewis, MD is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Atrium Health - Carolinas Medical Center. She is the Director of Ultrasound in Undergraduate Medical Education at Carolinas Medical Center/ Charlotte Campus of Wake Forest University School of Medicine. She completed her ultrasound fellowship at Carolinas Medical Center in 2012 and stayed on as faculty. She has developed a longitudinal ultrasound curriculum for the third year medical students at Carolinas Medical Center as well as a fourth year medical school rotation in point of care ultrasound for medical students at the Charlotte Campus of University of North Carolina School of Medicine and has since transitioned this program to Wake Forest University School of Medicine - Charlotte Campus. Dr. Lewis also acts the the Director of the 4th Year for the Charlotte Campus of WFUSOM. Her interests include ultrasound education, undergraduate medical education, critical care ultrasound and pediatric ultrasound applications.
