Dr. Panebianco is a clinical ultrasound fellowship-trained Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania in the Department of Emergency Medicine. She serves as the Director of the Division of Emergency Ultrasound and is the Chair of the Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Alliance, a health-system wide committee of POCUS stakeholders, where she reports directly to the Senior Vice President of the health system. She is a national leader in emergency medicine and cardiology societies including Past-Chair of the SAEM Academy of Emergency Ultrasound, Past-Chair of the ACEP Ultrasound Section, Past-Chair of the Society of Clinical Ultrasound Fellowships, and is currently the first emergency medicine physician to sit on the Board of Directors of the National Board of Echocardiography. She has given over 250 lectures locally, nationally, and internationally, co-organized the SCUF annual meeting in 2016, and is current co-chair of the critical care track session at American Society of Echocardiography scientific assembly. She has extensive grant-funded research, scientific publications, and is a reviewer for multiple high-tier journals.
