Hindi Stohl, MD, JD is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and has subspecialty certification in maternal fetal medicine. Dr. Stohl is the Director of Maternal Fetal Medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she oversees the high-risk pregnancy program, including comprehensive outpatient and inpatient prenatal care, diagnostic ultrasound and consultative obstetrical services. She is also the Associate Program Director for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Harbor-UCLA and the chair of the Harbor-UCLA Medicolegal Committee.
Dr. Stohl earned her undergraduate degree in economics from Columbia University and her M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Johns Hopkins University and a fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Dr. Stohl then completed a law degree at Southwestern Law School, after which she passed the California State Bar.
Dr. Stohl has won several teaching awards and has been an invited speaker locally and nationally for medical and legal webinars, conferences and grand rounds. She is also active as a medical-legal consultant and an expert witness in civil cases and administrative hearings. Dr. Stohl currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband, a rabbi, and her nine boys.
