UltraCon draws more than 1000 physicians, sonographers, and scientists from around the world to convene about current topics in all disciplines of medical ultrasound. With an overall focus on patient care, the meeting includes educational opportunities in ultrasound practice, training, and technical development.
Multiple registration types are available in order to meet your needs. Physicians can register at a member or nonmember rate, however, you will save money by being or becoming an AIUM member! There is also a rate for sonographers, nonphysicians, and students also with a member and nonmember rate. And lastly, if your schedule permits your attendance for only a portion of UltraCon, you may select a One Day rate.
The student rate allows all students to participate in every event taking place at UltraCon. As an added bonus, students who register for UltraCon, either for a full conference registration or one-day registration, can observe the SonoSlam competition on Saturday, March 25. There is a cap on the number of observers due to space, so register now! Students who register for the full conference are also invited to the SonoSlam reception on Saturday evening.
A full event registration for UltraCon entitles you to access all sessions, symposia, and events taking place March 26–29. (Registration for SonoSlam on March 25, 2023, is separate.) This includes but is not limited to all educational sessions, networking sessions, and the Sunday night UltraCon Party with a Purpose with Live Music by "Jenn and Tonic". Please note that unless noted, Lunch is on your own. If you select to register for a Daily Rate, your access is to all events and education taking place that specific day
No! The rates are the exact same as last year and there are no separate, ticketed events to buy in addition.
The AIUM is committed to offering an outstanding valuable event to participants. Unfortunately, with rising costs and the pandemic, it is no longer possible to offer free registrations. The AIUM Board has mandated that all speakers, board members, past-presidents, etc. must pay registration fees as well.
Speakers may inquire with learn@aium.org for a code that will allow them to obtain the early bird rate since some invitations did not go out until close to the deadline.
Written cancellation to learn@aium.org must be received by February 9, 2023, to receive a refund of the registration fee minus a $250 administration fee. Written cancellations received after February 9, 2023, will not receive a refund.
In the event that the program is canceled, registration fees will be refunded; however, the AIUM is not responsible for any travel or hotel costs you may incur.
Yes, please contact learn@aium.org to request the transfer of registration. Additional payment may be required depending on the membership status of the original participant and the new participant.
We encourage group learning as it is beneficial to the whole team! Level up with your peers! However, we currently do not offer a group discount.
Please email learn@aium org or call the office at 301-498-4100 and dial zero to be connected with an operator that can assist you with your registration changes.

Yes. There will be hands-on opportunities. Please review the agenda for additional details.
Not this year! With the re-imagining of the conference, the AIUM wanted to make all events accessible and available to registrants. However, that does mean that some opportunities may fill up and be limited capacity. We will duplicate as many of these limited capacity opportunities as time and space allow during the conference to allow as many people as possible the experience.
At this time, there is no plan to record sessions or make them available after UltraCon. Attend in person to take full advantage of the content and networking opportunities.
We suggest bringing whatever tools you like in order to take notes. You can stop by the AIUM Resource space in the Industry Playground if you would like an AIUM pen. There is no electrical outlet at each table/chair so if you bring an electronic device you will want to charge it accordingly. We also suggest considering a sweater or jacket as the rooms can be cool. Also, we suggest bringing a refillable water bottle.
Please include your needs when you register. You can also follow up by emailing us at: learn@aium.org. We will attempt to accommodate all dietary issues at official UltraCon events. However, we will need at least 7 days advance notification in order to alert the hotel in a timely fashion.
Please contact the host hotel, Signia by Hilton at Orlando Bonnet Creek by visiting their website.
Participants can earn up to 22 CME credits by registering and attending the full meeting. See the CME page for details.
For information on how to claim your CME credits and certificates, please click here. Please note that credits will be available following the conclusion of the event.
The AIUM reviews the current risk level and recommendations by the CDC and the local state department of Health. For UltraCon, that is the Florida Department of Health. We highly recommend vaccines and masking, however, at this time they are not required. That could change, though, based on the current levels of infection. Please visit the Health and Safety page of the website for further details.
Yes, all attendees are asked to email or contact the AIUM and inform them if they contract COVID-19 during or within 7 days after the Conference. The AIUM will email all participants if a case occurs, but the privacy of the individual(s) will be protected.
e ask that anyone who is sick or has COVID-19 symptoms to not participate in the event. For a list of symptoms visit the Health and Safety Plan.
