G2 Safeguards
Glen Garrity is a retired burglary detective who worked 21 years in Newport Beach CA. In 2008, He was part of a group of Newport Beach PD (CA) detectives that arrested 8 people in an identity theft ring. They made fake credit cards and fake driver licenses to match the credit cards. It was estimated they stole over $1.1 million in products and gift cards. The biggest reason this case was closed by arrest was because one store trained a few employees to recognize a fraudulent ID. In 2010, after 21 years in law enforcement, I had to retire for medical reasons. But the above case helped me start G2 Safeguards, as I realized numerous civilian industries (apartment, retail, hotel, mortgage, escrow etc) ask for ID to conduct their business, but don't know how to recognize a fake ID. This should be a concern today because ID theft occurs every 3 seconds in the U.S.. For the past 12 years, I have been teaching how to recognize a fake ID to thousands of civilians in conferences, webinars and association meetings.
