Whether interacting with one person or one hundred, face to face or camera to camera, creating and maintaining engagement is the key to a successful outcome. Studies have shown that the majority of communication impact comes from non-verbal communication so our biggest challenge in the virtual world is how to effectively use body language when we can only see each other from the neck up! Couple that with the fact that the average human attention span has dropped from 12 seconds to eight seconds and the biggest challenge just got bigger. What to do? Join us to find out!
During this session, we'll explore how to repurpose questions, activities and other presentation tools for use in a virtual environment. We'll start out by identifying the major sections of any presentation or conversation and in small groups, examine what needs to change when we're not face to face. When we get back together, we'll share the results from each group and create a "Best Practices" list for structuring, collaborating and delivering a powerful message using technology.
