Dr. Katsos graduated from University of London, Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2021. He also obtained an MSc in Neuroscience and Translational Medicine from the Blizard Institute at Queen Mary University, where he received the George Riddoch Prize for the most outstanding student on the programme. During his studies Dr. Katsos explored the applications of artificial intelligence in neurosurgery, and particularly the implementation of machine learning techniques in neuro-oncology. Furthermore, he has a special interest in neuro-oncology, skull base surgery, as well as traumatic brain and spinal cord injury. The Neuro-informatics Lab’s reputation and achievements in improving surgical outcomes on spinal surgery and translating innovative research to the clinical setting, captivated Dr. Katsos’ ambitions and he joined the team in 2022.
