Raj S. Lavadi, M.B.B.S., joined the Department of Neurological Surgery at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis as a postdoctoral research fellow in July 2022. He is enthusiastic about customizing care through the analysis of patient-reported outcome measures. He is part of a team currently investigating non-invasive biomarkers of traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury. His research interests include Neurotrauma, Spine, Neuro-oncology, Education, and Global Neurosurgery. Despite being raised in New Jersey, he went to medical school in India and received his degree from Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and playing the Mridangam, a South Indian percussion instrument of which he has over two decades of experience. He is also fond of long-distance running and basketball.
