Michael was born in Singapore, raised in Chicagoland, and educated in New York City prior to going home to Chicago for residency at Northwestern. He completed an enfolded neurocritical care fellowship, and will be joining the University of Pittsburgh for a spine fellowship for 2023 to 2024. He aims to pursue a career in academic neurosurgery.
