Ibrahim Hussain, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Weill Cornell Brain and Spine Center in New York, NY. He received his Medical Degree from Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School in Newark with recognition by membership to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and a Doris Duke Research Fellowship focusing on neuro-oncology genomics at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He completed his neurosurgical residency at the combined Weill Cornell-New York Presbyterian Hospital/Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center program. He then completed a fellowship in Complex and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery at the University of Miami under Michael Wang, MD and Allan Levi, MD, PhD.
His areas of surgical specialization include spinal endoscopy, spine oncology, traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, minimally invasive and complex spinal deformity reconstruction. His research interests inlcude strategies for biological and stem-cell based innovations for disc regeneration and repair
