Dr Jerry Robinson III MD is an academic orthopedic spine surgeon at the University of Pittsburge Medical Center (UPMC) Harrisburg with extensive training in complex open and minimially invasive deformity correction. Dr Robinson completed his first spine fellowship at a combined orthopedic and neurosurgical, AO-Spine accredited institution with Dr Jens Chapman in Seattle. While there, he was an assistant to the world's top spine surgeons at the Seattle Science Foundation and gave numerous presentations to a global audience. After completing his training in Seattle, Dr Robinson traveled to Hollywood, California for a second fellowship with Dr Neel Anand, focusing on advanced lateral spine access, robotics, motion preservation, and minimally invasive deformity surgery. After completion of this fellowship, Dr Robinson joined UPMC Harrisburg to initiate their robotic and minimally invasive spine program.
Dr Robinson has a passion for learning and is an advocate for the use of emerging technology in spine surgery. His reserach interests are focused on minimally invasive surgery, spinal deformity, and resident education.
