Arthur R. Bartolozzi IV, MD MPhil is a fellow at the Vancouver Spine Surgery Institute affiliated with the University of British Columbia (Canada). He completed his undergraduate at Harvard College (USA) majoring in chemistry and dramatic arts graduating summa cum laude. He won a fellowship supporting a year of research at Emmanuel College, Cambridge (UK) where he worked with Prof. Ashok Venkitaraman on molecular mechanisms underlying splicosome transformations in cancer cell lines. He attended Harvard Medical School (USA) where he became interested in the intersection of optimizing functional outcomes in the setting of neurological conditions particularly with neuromuscular scoliosis which led him to orhopedics. He completed orthopedic surgery residency training at Stanford University (USA) with an enfolded mini-fellowship in peripheral nerve surgery under the direction of Prof. Martijn Malessy in Leiden (Netherlands). His clinical interests include spinal and peripheral nerve oncology, spinopelvic reconstruction, and medical education.
