My name is Troy Q'mars Tabarestani and I have a BA in chemistry from Rice University. Currently, I am a fourth-year medical student at Duke University School of Medicine who is interested in neurosurgery. Specifically, my research has revolved around the implementation of new imaging and robotic technology in the realm of minimally invasive spine surgery. Spanning from CT/MRI fusion to using robots to make spinopelvic fixation procedures less invasive, I am very excited to see how neurosurgery (and spine surgery specifically) advances over the coming years.
