Dr Charlotte Dandurand is a spinal neurosurgeon with the Spine Surgery Institue at Vancouver General Hospital. Dr Dandurand’s current practice focuses on degenerative spinal disorders, craniocervical junction abnormalities, spinal tumors, minimally invasive surgery and trauma. Dr Dandurand serves as Clinical Instructor in the Department of Orthopedics at the University of British Columbia.
Dr Dandurand’s research interests concentrate on clinical outcomes of spine surgery and health policies. She is involved in studies analyzing surgical trends with the aim of improving access to healthcare and provide data to improve resources allocation. She is also involved in spinal trauma research.
Dr Dandurand’s completed residency in neurosurgery at the University of British Columbia, a program of clinical effectiveness and Master of Science in epidemiology at Harvard University and advanced spine surgery fellowship at Vancouver General Hospital. She is an active member of the Canadian Spine Society and associate member of AO Spine Knowledge Forum Trauma.
