Dr. Howard Song is professor of surgery and chief of the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Oregon Health & Science University. He serves as Co-Chair of the Cardiovascular Service Line for the OHSU Health System. Dr. Song has a busy practice encompassing all forms of adult cardiovascular disease. He has special expertise in heart valve repair and replacement including minimally invasive and transcatheter techniques as well as aortic surgery, heart transplantation, and surgery for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Dr. Song's research focuses on biomedical and tissue engineering, genetically-triggered thoracic aortic aneurysms and patient outcomes following cardiovascular surgery.
