Dr. Mario Castillo-Sang is the Director of Mitral and Heart Failure Therapies at Saint Elizabeth Healthcare System in Northern Kentucky. A native of Panama he received his MD at the Tec of Monterrey in Mexico and his General Surgery training at the University of Toledo in Ohio. He completed his Cardiothoracic Surgery Training at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University School of Medicine in 2012. He has focused in minimally invasive mitral surgery since 2012. Dr. Castillo-Sang is passionate about disseminating minimally invasive techinques and has contributed to the creation of a patient education website (www.mitraltherapies.com) and to an online minimally invasive valve surgery course.
