Amy E. Hackmann, MD, FACS, is an Associate Professor of CVTS at UTSouthwestern in Dallas. Dr. Hackmann is ECMO and temporary mechanical support director for UTSW and Parkland Hospital. She serves on the education committee for ELSO, training physicians around the world about ECMO cannulation and management. As an STS member, Dr. Hackmann is involved in the curiculum and patient education task forces.
