Description: The rapid adoption of Impella 5.5 with SmartAssist is directly attributed to surgeons witnessing how the timely use of Impella 5.5 in their sickest patients can positively change the trajectory of those patients’ outcomes. This lunch symposium will feature surgeons from varied backgrounds discussing the two fastest-growing uses of Impella 5.5: The surgical patient experiencing low cardiac output syndrome and the VA ECMO patient who benefits from LV unloading and quick weaning off ECMO.
