Omar Eton, MD, FACP is a Medical Oncologist and Medical Director, Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute Melanoma and Skin Cancer Center. He attended NYU School of Medicine and completed fellowships in hematology/oncology and tumor immunology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. On staff at the MD Anderson Cancer Center for 14 years, he delineated prognostic groups in advanced (Stage IV) melanoma and led numerous investigator-initiated trials, some referenced in the NCCN Melanoma Guidelines. He has over 50 peer-reviewed publications. Separately, as an Air Force Reservist, Dr. Eton cared for our active duty troops and led government-sponsored humanitarian missions abroad during both Gulf Wars. He has been a member of American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) for over 30 years and he served on the ASCO Clinical Practice Committee. He also served two terms as the President of the Massachusetts Society of Clinical Oncologists and continues on their Board of Directors.
