Michael Postow is a medical oncologist and Chief of the Melanoma Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard University in Boston and his medical oncology fellowship at Sloan Kettering under the mentorship of Dr. Jedd Wolchok. Dr. Postow was involved in the clinical development of the nivolumab + ipilimumab combination and led the phase 2 Checkmate 069 trial which paved the way to its ultimate regulatory approval. He has conducted a number of investigator-initiated trials testing combination immunotherapy agents in melanoma and has a specific interest in studying new ways to image the immune system. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, guitar, and trying to keep up with his two toddlers and triathlete wife.
