Kari Rosenkranz, MD is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College. She has been the Program Director for the general surgery residency since 2017. In addition, Dr. Rosenkranz serves as the Vice-Chair for Education in the Department of Surgery at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. She served as the Director of the Norris Cotton Cancer Center Comprehensive Breast Program from 2008-2021.
Dr. Rosenkranz completed her undergraduate work at Princeton University graduating in 1992 with a major in history. Following post-baccalaureate pre-medical work at Bryn Mawr College, she attended the Albany Medical College from which she received an M.D. in 1999. Following medical school graduation, Dr. Rosenkranz trained as a resident in general surgery at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. While a resident, she also completed a research fellowship at Massachusetts General. At the completion of general surgery residency, Dr. Rosenkranz completed a fellowship in breast surgery at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. She then returned to Dartmouth-Hitchcock and the faculty of the Geisel School of Medicine in 2006 where she continues to practice as a breast surgeon.
