Dr. Weiss completed medical school training at Case Western Reserve University, general surgery residency at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and subsequently a breast surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She was recognized nationally and peer-selected to the Society of Surgical Oncology’s Inaugural Fellows and Young Attendings Subcommittee, which she Chaired 2019-2020. She is currently an associate surgeon in the Division of Breast Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), and an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School (HMS). Her clinical and research interests include subtype-specific surgical management of the axilla specifically following neoadjuvant systemic therapy, and the impact of genetic testing on breast surgery choice. In addition to her clinical and research activities, she is an Executive Officer for the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology.
