Dr. Fergal Fleming is a colorectal surgeon and an Associate Professor of Surgery and Oncology at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC). He has an academic interest in optimizing cancer care delivery for patients with colorectal cancer. Dr. Fleming serves on the Executive Committee for the Commission on Cancer National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC) and is the director of the Rectal Cancer Program at the URMC. He is the executive lead for the Upstate New York Surgical Quality Initiative, a collaboration of 19 hospitals across Upstate New York focusing on improving outcomes after colorectal surgery.
